like summer cocktails with grapefruit in them.There are several varieties and there is an Absolut Grapefruit for the vodka kind.I am very partial to Stella (Belgian beer) in the summer (and all other seasons too). But it must be served in the proper glass to be perfect. I'm having one right now.

Summer brews, definitely. Love a good NW micro from Maritime Brewery, Snoqualmie, or a Ruby from those McMenamin brothers down the road in Oregon (my old stompin' grounds.)

Not sure if your conversation will expand to wines. I can't get through the summer without two white wines from Lopez Island Vineyards... Madeline Angevine and Siegerrebe (pronounced zeeg-ah-ray-bah). These two grapes are suited to the cool NW summers and are estate grown on Lopez Island. I own a small grocery store and have access to many different wines, but I always go back to these. The Madeline is especially excellent with oysters...

Simple Margarita Straight Up
- 2 ounces Tequila (Sauza Hornitos is delicious)
- 1 ounce Triple Sec or Cointreau if your fancy
- 1/2 ounce Lime juice
- Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. YUM!* Sip in my backyard of course
