Will anyone miss the P-I?

Despite the great stories that KUOW has managed to create from a hundred years of history, I personally will not miss the P-I at all.

When I see it on the stands it always has looked like yesterday's news. A skimpy little paper with little original to offer.

Given the option, I always pick up The Stranger, not because it's free, but because it has an actual opinion and perspective.

Will anyone really miss the P-I?

david horsey? art theil? i would say both of these guys offer original opinion and perspective. seems like p.i. vs. the stranger is apples and oranges at best, not sure it's fair to expect a 146 year old newspaper to have the same edge as one that's only been around since grunge.

though, having said all of that, it's probably time for it to go the way of the dodo. i'm not a fan of anything, no matter how sentimental or nostalgic, being kept around on life support past the window of it's natural demise.
