plant salvage around to-be-torn-down house

My husband and I just bought a property with a house in poor condition that we are planning on tearing down. While the house is in bad shape, the previous owner had a nice garden with several mature shrubs and three mature fruit trees. I'd like to invite the neighbors to come and take the plants they would like, but I have several questions. 1) Is it okay to dig up bulbs as they are leafing out and getting ready to flower? 2) How well to mature shrubs like rhodies move/transplant? 3) Is it even possible to move the fruit trees (which range from 10 to 30+ years old)? 4)How would the several roses take to being moved right now?

    1. bulbs- yes, can move- would be better in Fall, but okay now
    2. mature shrubs- need to dig a sizeable root ball, but can transplant well- ideal time to move would be fall but spring is okay
    3. fruit trees-- you'd have to root prune them this year, then dig out the root ball next year.. probably with some heavy equipment/probably not worth it
    4. roses can be moved now but will probably not put a lot of energy into flowering this year. better to move in Fall, but okay now

[I put an ad on Craigslist a couple years back asking gardeners to take a huge Flax shrub- many takers- thanks for doing this]
